Why would I want to use a Zipclip Set ?
Zipclips enable ultra quick connect and disconnect of car batteries without tools in case of fire, changing of flat batteries, or charging the battery while disconnected from the car’s electrical system. Very useful when storing a vehicle or caravan.
Do I have to replace the whole existing terminal when installing the Ziplip ?
Normally No – If your car has the bigger ( traditional ) terminals, all you have to do is remove the existing bolt and replace it with the ZipClip lever.
Some cars have a smaller clamp in which case the connector may have to be modified to fit the ZipClip lever.
In some cases you can remove the existing clamps and replace them with the entire ZipClip set.
If I buy a ZipClip set and it doesn't work for me, can I get my money back ?
Yes – A refund on the item only will be paid in full provided that you deliver the working item back to us at your courier cost.
If the item is originally faulty : We will pay the standard courier rate for the return and either deliver a new one at our courier cost
or refund the full item cost.
How long do I expect to wait for the product ?
We instruct the courier directly after payment has been made. Delivery is usually under 5 days but in most cases it will be sooner than that.
Which terminal must I disconnect first ?
Since most cars are -ve earth it makes sense to disconnect the -ve terminal first because the disconnected wire cannot short with any other parts of the car.
A floating +ve wire on the other hand will cause sparks if it touches other metal in the engine compartment.
